What remains when the film ends?

For TIFF 2026, the streets of Tirana become an open-air cinema archive through a special collaboration with the Archivio dell’Immagine of the Centro Cinema di Cesena.

The exhibition brings a selection of photographs and archival images connected to film history into the public space, offering audiences a different way to encounter cinema, outside the theatre and within the everyday life of the city.

From behind-the-scenes moments to images that preserve the people, places, and stories surrounding filmmaking, the exhibition invites us to look at cinema not only through the finished frame, but through everything that exists around it.

HUMANOGRAPHY is the memory of cinema through the people, moments, and images that remain beyond the screen.

Cinema doesn’t always need a screen. Sometimes, the city becomes one.
