DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Comandante Bebé
Rubén Canales Roizo studied Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid and, upon graduating, specialized in stop-motion animation through independent study. He is also artistically engaged in self-publishing and conducts workshops on fanzines and collage at bookstores and comic shops—including for "La Noche de los Libros" (2021 and 2022)—as well as at the Iván de Vargas Library (2023), La Casa Encendida (2022), Espacio CUTTOO (2022), the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (2023), and self-organized events like Pichifest (2024). In 2023, he completed the Intensive Stop Motion Course taught by Inspira Animation at the Barreira A+D school and continues to create audiovisual works alongside his partner, Amanda González, under the name Comandante Bebé.
