In the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, two trees awaken in the night and embark on a spiritual journey to discover a past in which they were two sibling children.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Antonio La Camera

Antonio La Camera (1990) graduated magna cum laude in Film Studies and Visual Arts at Roma Tre University and attended Direction and Screenwriting workshops at Sentieri Selvaggi School of Cinema. He was later selected for the Corso di Alta Specializzazione in Regia Cinematografica Fare Cinema, overseen by Maestro Marco Bellocchio and taught by the Manetti Bros. His short films FLESH AND DUST (2015), THE OLD MAN'S DREAM (2016) and IN THE PLACE OF SILENCE (2018) were screened in over 100 festivals, both in Italy and around the world, including at the Future FF organised by the British Film Institute. He has won over 30 awards internationally, among which the Best Director Award, which was bestowed on him by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Budapest. In 2022, he was invited to join the prestigious platform CreatorsLab, with which he shot the Italo-Spanish short film THE LOST MEMORIES OF TREES (2023), set in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest under the supervision of legendary director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, winner of the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. THE LOST MEMORIES OF TREES has been selected for Venice Critics' Week 2023.
