DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Luli Bitri
Bitri is an Actress, Director, Producer. In 2004 she graduated in drama in the University of Fine Arts in Tirana, Albania. Bitri has written and directed "Water For the Roses"in 2017, and "The Black Pelicans" in 2022. She began her international career starring in these films : "Father and Godfather"by Dh. Anagnosti, "Alive" by A. Minarolli , " Amnesty" by B. Alimani , "Open Door" by F. Papas, "My destiny" by P. Marcias, "Holy Boom" by M.Lafi, "Winter Fireflies"by A.Gorishti. Some of these films have been in competition in many important film festivals as Berlin FF, Karlovy vary FF, Sarajevo FF, Copenhagen FF, Jerusalem FF ecc. and Bitri was nominated and gained many prizes as Best Actress. In 2009, 2011, 2018 these films : Alive, Amnesty, Open Door, entered in the List of Albanian submissions for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language.
