The 1990s, an early summer afternoon. While their parents are asleep, Lotti and Malibù decide to sneak out to go to the bar, which is frequented by the boy they both like. Puca, the youngest, insists on going with them, threatening to wake their parents with her screams. The unexpected happens when they return home...They realise that their childhood is gone forever.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Sara Scalera
Sara Scalera was born in Mesagne on June 17, 1988. She began her journey in the film industry in 2019 by directing the short film *In braccio alla corrente* and subsequently founding a short film festival in her hometown, the Apulia Film Fest. In 2022, she created the short film *La Piccola Estate*, which was selected for various national and international festivals—including the Oscar-qualifying "In The Palace" festival—and won the Best Mediterranean Short Film award at the Alicante Film Festival, as well as the Rai Cinema Channel Award at the European Film Festival of Lecce. The following year, she became an associate producer on Antonio La Camera’s short film *Las Memorias Perdidas de los Arboles*, which won the Best Short Film award at the 37th Venice International Film Critics' Week. In 2024, she was selected for the Milano Film Network’s "InProgress" feature film development lab, where she developed the screenplay for her debut film, *Dove vanno le mosche quando piove*.
