Mama
Spending 15 years apart from her family in order to build their future, Mila has become comfortable in the wealthy landscape of her employer. When an accident sends her unexpectedly back home to rural Poland, Mila has to face a new truth: her husband and daughter’s lives have been moving on without her.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Or Sinai
A graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film School, Or Sinai is also a Berlinale Talents alumnus. Her debut feature – MAMA – received four production awards / funds: one each from both the Rabinovich Foundation in Israel and the Ukrainian State Film Agency, as well as the Production Award from the Torino Script Lab, and CNC Award. Sinai wrote and directed the short film ANNA, which won the 2016 Cinéfondation Award at Cannes Film Festival; the 2016 Israeli Film Academy Award for Best Short Film, and an Honorable Mention at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival among other awards and screenings worldwide. Sinai has written and directed narrative (fiction) shorts, and a mid-length documentary, Violeta Mi Vida, which won prizes in Israel and Russia. She has been an editor for TV series and documentaries such as Unchained (Metir Agunot) by Yossi Madmoni, David Ofek, and Tamar Kay (2019), and Mr. Gaga by Tomer Heymann (2015). Sinai is currently working on her debut TV series as creator, I Got You, with Endemol Shine Israel; the series is being developed in The Jerusalem Sam Spiegal Series Lab. She is also writing a theater play, “Arale Wants to be Happy”, for the Israeli theater, Beit Lessin. Or Sinai’s work focus on women from the outskirts of society, struggling to liberate themselves from social conventions and to be free.
