DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Andres Bronnimann

Filmmaker, writer, and creative entrepreneur. I began making movies since I was 6 years old, with a SONY Cassette Camcorder. Born and raised in Costa Rica. Half Mexican. Half Swiss. Based in Barcelona. There are two sides to my work. The first part is devoted to independent journalism and documentary filmmaking. In this impact-driven work, I focus on human stories in contrasting contexts, and how they connect to larger global issues. The second part is all about fiction films and creative writing. In this expressionistic side, I write original screenplays and produce films. comedies, shorts, dramas, and most recently generative A.I. films. I am constantly switching genres and styles. I do occasionally take on commercial projects and campaigns that allign with my values. Beyond format, be it a documentary or a film, I aim for my work to help break some of the cognitive dissonances in today's world. To inform. To inspire. Through laughter, or tears, or reflection.
