DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY​ - Zahid Çetinkaya

He is a graduate of the Department of Film Design at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts. He is currently doing his Master's in Film Design at Dokuz Eylul University Fine Arts Institute. In 2017, he became a finalist in the script competition titled "14. Geleceğin Sineması" organized by the Ministry of Culture and TÜRSAK Foundation, with the script "Ban", written with Yağmur Türkan Caner. In 2019, In the competition, which was organized by the T.C. Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TÜRSAK Foundation, the film "Fractal: Munchies" was supported by the production of the film "Fraktal: Munchies" and the third-best film was chosen. Finalist at the 2nd International Izmir Artemis Film Festival with his film "Fractal: Munchies", "The best short film candidate" at the Florence Film Awards, "Jury Special" award in the experimental category at the 20th International İzmir Short Film Festival, "3rd best film" award at the 9th Malatya International Film Festival, Also, He received a selection of screenings at the 3rd International Troy Short Film Festival. In 2020, he was entitled to receive production support for a short film project named "Fraktal: Para Adam ", of which he was one of the screenwriters, by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey. In 2021, the shooting starded of the American-Turkish-Iranian co-production feature film project called "Tatlı Süt Köpüğü", of which he is one of the screenwriters. In May 2021, an article he wrote with Yağmur Türkan Caner was published in the academic joint book titled "Filmine Bakmak". In May 2022, he took part as a screenwriter in the documentary series "Geleceğe Kalanlar", which was produced by TRT Belgesel.
