DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Kanto Randresy, Oualid Laouer, Lucie Jean, Henry Mbouem Mbeck, Maxime Pitrou

I was lucky enough to live in the Italian,Cameroonian and French cultures at the same time. I spent my teenage years dreaming about Pixar Studios, watching and analyzing films, being curious and interested in all possible subjects. Now, I dream to discover the world and to continue to blossom in animation. From a very young age, my grandfather, a visual artist and photographer, passed on to me his passion for the art of the image. Since then, I wish to develop my artistic universe and my eye while progressing technically to be more and more free artistically. Drawing has always been a way to express myself and gain self-confidence. Céline Sciamma’s movies and Sylvain Chomet’s graphic style made me want to work on animation movies and create atmosphere/backgrounds. As early as 8 years old, I loved writing stories, taking my little sister to imaginary worlds, creating shows, painting and drawing all sorts of things all the time. So when I discovered that I could work in animation, making films for a living, telling stories, I knew I had found my way! I will continue to work in animation and develop my skills but one day I want to work in directing and bring to life all the stories I have in mind! As a child, seeing fictional characters come to life and feeling their emotions was something that marked me and continues today. From that day until I went to school, I never stopped learning about drawing and animation as a self-taught artist. Passionate about animation, I see myself later working on feature films with teams of enthusiasts, while continuing to learn.
