DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY​ - Jan Cvitkovič

Jan Cvitkovič is the most acclaimed Slovenian filmmaker. His feature films recieved more than 60 awards, including Venice - Best Debut Film Award, San Sebastian - Best New Director Award, etc. Making short films is his passion. Three of his short films were premiered at Venice Film Festival – two in Competition Programme (Heart is a Piece of Meat and This is Earth, my Brother) and one at the opening of 70th edition of the Venice Film Festival. He spent past three years as a physical labourer (construction builder, lumberjack, working in vineyards). Short film »DO YOU SEE ME?« is his artistic comeback.
