DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Grégoire Graesslin
Born in 1985, Grégoire Graesslin grew up in the French Ardennes, where he made his first two short student films, COQUELICOT (2007) and ENTRE SES DOIGTS (2008). After obtaining a degree in cinema from the University of Paris VIII, he worked for 6 years in cinema film production. In 2011, he joined the international sales company Kinology, headed by Grégoire Melin. In 2013, Grégoire Graesslin met Laurine Pelassy, who founded Les Films de la Capitaine. This fruitful collaboration will give birth to three short films: HELIX ASPERSA (selected in Locarno at Pardi di Domani - 2014), then JUNIE (selected at Brussels Short FF & Namur FIFF - 2021) and DAMMEN (2025). At the same time, he co-wrote the feature film POPCORN by Idir Serghine (produced by KIDAM) and continued writing his first feature film for Les Films de la Capitaine.
