DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Zofia Kowalewska
Film Director, graduate of Lodz Film School. She directed “Close Ties” – an IDFA-winning documentary short, that was shortlisted for the Academy Awards in 2017 and has been released by the Criterion Channel. Her most recent documentary “Only the Wind” premiered at Hot Docs 2022 and was recently awarded Best Documentary Film Award at TRT Film Festival in Istanbul. Her shorts were presented at some of the most prestigious film festivals in the world (Sundance, Palm Springs Shortfest, AFI Docs, Encounters FF, Aesthetica FF). “Cat” is her graduation short film from Lodz Film School that premieres internationally at Tirana Film Festival 2023.
