Blue Moon
The film follows the psychological journey of a young woman to her dehumanizing process. While struggling to achieve higher education and escape the violence of her dysfunctional family, lrina metamorphoses from victim into abuser as a result of subtle violent contexts. An ambiguous sexual experience with an artist gives her the strength to fight the violence in her family and to run to Bucharest.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Alina Grigore
Alina Grigore has a bachelor degree at UNATC - Bucharest, Acting/Directing department, Adrian Titieni's class. She is now a PhD student at the same university and an assistant researcher at CINETIC, Bucharest. After 4 years of acting in TV series, she worked for two years in the USA, being represented by Lily's Talent agency (Chicago) at the same time working with Romanian directors such as Cristi Puiu for Aurora and Adrian Sitaru for Best Intentions and 11/egitimate. In the USA, Alina became passionate about interdisciplinary studies and the cognitive mechanisms involved in the acting and directing process. Once retumed to Romania, she founded and conducted the lnlight Center - a production company and acting school, which immediately became a famous Romanian research hub. Also, this is the space where she and her students practice multiple methods for analyzing the scenic process. Her nine stage plays were staged at various theaters in Bucharest over the last five years. She is the author of two short films. In 2014, she began research work. on script developing and directing with director Adrian Sitaru and her students for the film lllegitimate. lllegitimate travelled around the world receiving numerous awards (C.l.C.A.E. award in Berlinale Film Festival, section Forum, Best Movie in Odessa film Festival) and brought Alina Best Script Award in Namur Film Festival, Mention for Acting in L'Europe autour de l"Europe and Angela Award for writing and acting at Subtitle Film Festival. Inside lnLight Center she directed the TV Series Pilot - The American dream, 2013 for the Romanian Television in Chicago, and the shorts Domino (2016), Triptic (2016) and River-bet(2017). Alina is a Berlinale Talents alumni for writer/director 2018, a LIM alumni writer, winner of New Directors New Films pitch in Espinho Portugal, and a PLOT, lndie Lisboa writer alumni for the script for Blue Moon. As a director she just finished her debut feature film Blue Moon and is in pre production with some Irrelevant Stories About Moms" (working title) starring Oscar winner actress, Melissa Leo.
