Anatomy of a Portrait
Nilza, a woman from the countryside, wants to donate her body to science when she dies. She seeks out Paula, an artist and drawing model, to paint a picture of how she would like to be preserved after death. This image becomes an artistic portrait, a scientific illustration, or a vivid premonition.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Juan Felipe León
Juan Felipe León. Film and television director from the National University of Colombia with studies in working with actors at EICTV - Cuba. Co-founder of Nido Cine. His work has focused on cinematic portraiture from an auteurist approach, exploring hybrid formats. His short films as director, “Anatomy of a portrait” and “El Lobo”, won the Colombian Film Development Fund in 2023 and 2024. He has produced the short films “Main Home” and “The Souls”, which have been widely screened at international festivals.
