Overview
After the Winter
Five small town Montenegrin childhood friends still cherish their friendship, despite being scattered all across former Yugoslavia. Over the course of one year, after a series of life-defining events, they are forced to transform their careless, escapist youth into maturity. When the winter is over, each of them will have to build their own new world.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Ivan Bakrač
Ivan Bakrač (1987, Montenegro) graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Design in Belgrade (Serbia) with the MA degree in film directing. He has written and directed short and medium length films that participated in many international festivals and won awards. Ivan participated in various programs such as Berlinale Talents, Talents Sarajevo and Zurich FF Academy. Apart from filmmaking, he also works as a festival programmer. After the Winter is his debut feature film. Films: Wars (2013, medium-length); Our skin is going to gray (2014, short); Malesh (2016, short); After the Winter (2021, feature).
