Matta and Matto
In a dystopian world where touch is forbidden, Matta and Matto offer refuge to the lonely at Hotel Vaip. In the deceptive labyrinth of mind bending rooms at their transient hotel, deepest desires are fulfilled and surpassed, but this comes at a price.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Bianca Caderas, Kerstin Zemp
Bianca Caderas (1990, Lucerne) and Kerstin Zemp (1993, Lucerne) successfully completed their Bachelor’s degrees in Animation at the Lucerne School of Art and Design in 2017. Their graduation film, **“Living Like Heta”**, co-directed with Isabella Luu, was screened at numerous animation festivals around the world, including Animafest Zagreb and SHORTSHORTS Film Festival Tokyo. The film received the High Risk Swiss Award at Fantoche 2017 and was awarded the Innerschweizer Filmpreis. After graduating, both moved abroad for several years. In 2019, Bianca moved to Hamburg for her film studies, while Kerstin worked as a freelance animator and illustrator in Ireland. In 2020, Bianca directed and wrote **“Jeroboam”**, which was created in collaboration with Kerstin. **“Matto”** (2023) is their second short film together, which they co-directed.
