Sister of Mine
Ten-year-old Noel wants to be more like his older sister. A visit to the hairdresser sparks jealousy, bringing sibling rivalry to the surface. A film about longing beyond the norms of 2000s boyhood.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - André Vaara
André Vaara is a director and screenwriter born in northern Sweden. He holds a bachelor's degree in film from HDK-Valand and a master's degree in film directing from Stockholm University of the Arts. In his work, Andre often portrays intimate stories that explore recurring themes of gender roles, identity, and longing. His short films / Want to See Gellivare Burn, Baby, and Boys have been screened at festivals and won awards, including at the Hamburg International Short Film Festival and the Stockholm International Film Festival. His latest short film, Sister of Mine, was nominated for Startsladden (Swedish Short Competition) at the Goteborg Film Festival. Andre was also selected for European Film Promotion's Future Frames at the 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Currently, Andre is developing his first feature film, Beautiful Misfits, which received the Swedish Film Institute's Wild Card award.
