Madrugada
Koki, a gardener in Guatemala City, hides a secret: he is a vampire. By day he lives with his wife and young son; by night he feeds in the shadows. Together, the parents try to shield the boy from the curse. But when the hunger awakens in him, he accidentally kills his closest friend, sealing a tragic inheritance.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Sebastian Lojo
Sebasti án Lojo is a Guatemalan director and cinematographer. He has worked on feature films and short films shot in Malaysia, Lebanon, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Guatemala, and Turkey. His debut feature, Los Fantasmas, was the first Guatemalan film selected for the Bright Future Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR, 2020). His work as both director and cinematographer has been presented at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Venice Biennale, and Berlin Critics’ Week. Among the recognitions received by projects he has worked on is the Canal+ Award at Semaine de la Critique of the Cannes Film Festival (2024). In 2026, his short film Madrugada, developed as part of his second feature film of the same name, was selected for the Quinzaine des Cin éastes at the Cannes Film Festival. He is currently continuing the development of his feature film Madrugada and is in pre-production of the feature film Los Invisibles, directed by And r és Rodr íguez, as cinematographer.
