DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Marie Heyse
Originally from Normandy, Marie studied Literature before pursuing Film studies at the Sorbonne. Varou (2021), inspired by an old Norman legend, was her first produced film. She writes and co-writes several fiction projects, mainly oriented toward the uncanny and the fantastic, and in 2025 she directed her second short film, All parents have to die, which received Second Prize at the Moulin d’Andé Screenwriting Competition and was developed within the Sofilm Genre Residency and the Création en Cours program of Les Ateliers Médicis.
