Fili, a former political prisoner, hid two notebooks of poems inside the wall of an apartment during the communist era; fifty years later, he returns to the town to search for them.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Lorin Terezi
Lorin Terezi was born in Tirana, Albania. He graduated from the Academy of Arts with a degree in Theatre Directing and later earned a second degree from the same university in Film and TV Directing. He won First Prize for Best Show at the Youth Theatre Festival with The Glass Menagerie. He directed the short film Tirana 100 Km, which was selected and nominated at numerous international film festivals. His second short film, produced by the Albanian National Film Centre, premiered at Flickerfest International Short Film Festival (Oscar- and BAFTA-accredited) in Sydney, Australia, where it won Best International Short — a prize that qualified it for the Academy Awards race in the Live Action Short Film category. The International Short Film Festival of Cyprus granted The News eligibility to be a candidate for the European Film Academy Awards 2021. He also co-directed the short film 303 and directed the short documentary Searching for Poetry, produced by Tek Bunkeri and co-produced by Mailuki Films. Lorin’s first feature film, Consequences of Freedom, completed shooting in January 2025 and is currently in post-production.
