When a woman discovers she cannot carry a child, she turns to her sister with a difficult request: to become the surrogate for her and her husband’s baby. What she sees as a clear, medical solution proves hard to accept for both her sister and her husband. As they try to navigate the decision, their different ways of understanding the situation begin to surface, testing their bond and raising questions about family, the body, and how far one can go for love.

Genti Deçka is an Albanian actor, theatre director, filmmaker, musician, and television and radio host. Born in Tirana, he studied Theatre Directing at the Academy of Arts in Tirana. He has been a prominent performer at the National Theatre of Albania, appearing in productions such as Faust, Tartuffe, The Cherry Orchard, Angels in America, and Long Day’s Journey Into Night. Alongside his work as an actor and theatre director, Deçka has developed an interest in cinema and audiovisual storytelling. He has directed and contributed to several independent film projects, including Scent of Love, co-directed with Altin Sulaj and presented at the Tirana International Film Festival in 2023. His artistic practice extends across theatre, film, music, television, and radio, reflecting his interest in exploring different forms of storytelling and performance. M(i)TRA (2026) is his latest fiction short film.
