Left alone while his parents attend a funeral, Pavel and his friends roam the village filming dares. What begins as play leads them to a bird’s nest and a challenge that goes too far. As the others run, Pavel stays behind, facing what’s left of their game.

Georgi Martev is a Bulgarian writer-director and co-founder of the production company BYWAYS. He holds a BA in Film from the University of Westminster. Georgi was also selected as the Bulgarian representative for the LUX Audience Award Young Talent Programme 2025. His work often focuses on adolescence and identity through stories of suppressed emotions and vulnerability. His latest film, nestling, premiered at the 72nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen.
