A dog is lost. Another day of heat plagues Athens. Klea and her roomies keep talking, walking, sweating (and smelling), in a city that is running out of water.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Ioanna Digenaki

Ioanna Digenaki (b.1994) studied Film at the School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She graduated in 2021, with a specialization in transmedia storytelling and character-building through social media. Her graduation short film „Trixes“ (animation) was awarded at the 45th Drama ISFF (Special Mention Award in National Student competition) and screened at the 63rd Thessaloniki IFF, among others. Her first short „Desert, She“ (live-action), had its world premiere at the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival and is currently in the festival circuit. Although film is her main medium, Ioanna uses a wide range of practices to articulate her creative vision, including performance, painting, graphic design and gaming. Her work explores notions of melancholy and awkwardness, drawing inspiration from everyday life, digital self-presentation, and screenshots. She embraces a DIY- childish aesthetic.
