DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Li Zechen

Li Zechen, born in Beijing at the dawn of the new millennium, completed his undergraduate studies at Communication University of China, Nanjing. During his academic tenure, he held the position of assistant director on over ten films, including the feature film “Hezhou”, produced by Pema Tseden. His work is characterized by a pursuit of the transcendental moments experienced by individuals in their everyday lives, with a focus on seamlessly integrating and expanding the boundaries of audiovisual design within stylistically intimate narratives. His approach is deeply rooted in contemporary and local contexts, and he aspires to create films that are not only captivating and original but also rich in emotional depth.
