DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Leonie Kock, Paloma Llambías

Paloma Llambías is a Chilean artist currently living in Weimar. Holding a degree in Media Art and Design from the Bauhaus University Weimar (2021), she works as a lecturer in film editing and as a film editor. Additionally, she develops collaborative artistic projects. Her work often incorporates associative montages, combining voice-overs, found footage, and self-recorded images. This approach leads to the creation of experimental film essays that explore the boundary between reality and poetry.Leonie Kock studied Cultural Anthropology in Hamburg and worked in various fields of community and cultural practice before making her documentary debut Faltenrock (2019, 83 min), for which she directed, produced and shot the film herself. Since then, her freelance practice has expanded across documentary filmmaking, animation, performance and participatory art. Her work explores themes of memory, embodiment, community and transformation, creating spaces where documentary, artistic research and collective experience intersect. Alongside her artistic practice, she works with the body therapy approach Pantarei Approach, facilitating workshops and one-on-one sessions that combine creative and somatic methods.
