Keys, doors, masks, rooms—objects spinning endlessly, fragments of a dream or clues to an unsolvable mystery. Their repetition hints at a hidden logic, yet the clearer the images become, the deeper the mystery grows. Behind each door lies emptiness; forms waver between appearance and disappearance, leaving us with an enigma that eludes resolution.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Chiara Caterina
Chiara CATERINA (1983, Italy) is a filmmaker who studied film in Rome and completed a diploma in cinematography before attending Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains in France. Her documentary Il mondo o niente (2017) was selected at festivals including Festival dei Popoli and the Festival du Cinéma de Brive. Her short Enchantment (2021) premiered at the 36th International Critics’ Week at the 78th Venice Film Festival, followed by Lucid Room at the 37th Critics’ Week. Her new short Object d’énigme (2026) has its world premiere at IFFR.
