DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Melissa Nocetti
Mel NOCETTI (1996, Mexico) is a cinematographer and director. She graduated from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico City and participated in the ASC Vision Mentorship Program. Working between intuition, subconscious imagery and sensorial storytelling, her practice spans fiction and experimental cinema. As a cinematographer, her work has screened at major international festivals including Cannes, Venice, Locarno, MoMA and Camerimage, with films such as Luz Nocturna (2022) and Suncatcher (2021). Her feature debut as cinematographer, Vittoria (2024), premiered in Venice’s Orizzonti Extra section. Alongside her work behind the camera, her debut as a director I Used to Call That Man Home (2026) is selected for IFFR 2026.
