DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Carlo Francisco Manatad

Carlo Francisco Manatad is a Filipino filmmaker and editor whose work has screened at major film festivals, including the Locarno Film Festival, Semaine de la Critique, and the Toronto International Film Festival. His films include Junilyn Has(2015), Jodilerks Dela Cruz, Employee of the Month (2017), and The Imminent Immanent (2018). In addition to his work as a director, he is an established film editor who has collaborated with filmmakers from across the world, with films screening at festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, Toronto and Busan. Manatad is an alumnus of the Asian Film Academy, Berlinale Talents, and the Locarno Filmmakers Academy. His debut feature, Whether the Weather Is Fine (2021), had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, where it received the Cinema e Gioventù Prize.
