DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Anna Hints, Tushar Prakash
Anna Hints is an Estonian filmmaker with a background in contemporary art and folk music. Her first feature-length documentary, Smoke Sauna Sisterhood , won the Best Director Award in the Documentary section at Sundance, and the European Documentary Award in 2023. The film represented Estonia at the 96th Academy Awards, was sold to over 33 territories, and was selected for numerous festivals; to date, it has won 32. Anna is a member of the music group EETER, which collaborated with composer Eðvarð Egilsson on Smoke Sauna Sisterhood . Tushar Prakash, born in New Delhi, graduated from the National Film School in Łódź. His work includes editing Anna Hints' Smoke Sauna Sisterhood , which won the Best Director Award in the Documentary section at Sundance and the European Documentary Award. The film won numerous awards, including a nomination for the Luxembourg City Film Festival Audience Award and the Critic's Choice Association Audience Award in the documentary category.
