Erik Jasaň is a Slovak director, screenwriter, and producer whose work explores sensitive issues affecting Slovak society. His debut short, The Professional Parent, was screened for the Short Film Corner at the 78th Festival de Cannes and received an Honorable Mention Award at the Oscar®-qualifying 44th Thomas Edison Film Festival. The film was also selected by several Oscar®-qualifying festivals including the 50th Odense International Film Festival, 53rd Huesca Film Festival, 41st St Kilda Film Festival, 20th HollyShorts Film Festival, 17th Bali International Film Festival, 24th Lebu International Film Festival, and 11th Alexandria Short Film Festival.
