DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Tianyun Lyu
Tianyun Lyu is a talented director who brings a fresh perspective to the world of animation. Hailing from YunCheng, Shanxi Province, China. She studied 2D animation at the Communication University of China before making her way to the United States to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Expanded Animation at the University of Southern California. As a freelancer, Lyu spends her free time experimenting with a variety of animation techniques, including direct animation, cut-out animation, and hand-drawn animation. She has also dabbled in projection installations, showcasing her unique visual style at USC. Her visual music pieces screened in DTLA. Her films have been screened in film festivals around the world:France,Athens,American,China, Japan, Australia... With a passion for storytelling, Lyu never shies away from exploring new ways to bring her characters to life. In fact, she once joked that she loves animation so much that she's "animated 24/7!" But don't worry, she assures us that she still manages to get some sleep in between all of her creative endeavors.
