Bruno Carnide, nominated twice for the Sophia Awards by the Portuguese Film Academy, is an independent filmmaker and the founding director of the Leiria Film Fest – International Short Film Festival. He has directed fiction, animation, and documentary short films that have won over forty awards and have been screened at hundreds of film festivals worldwide, including qualifying festivals for the Oscars and European Film Awards. With a Specialist Title in Film Production, Bruno Carnide is a University Professor in the field of Cinema and a Film Curator at the Museum of Moving Image in Leiria (Portugal). In addition to his academic roles, he worked on numerous institutional and corporate video projects for companies such as Google, RTP, Volkswagen, Ford, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Schweppes. Occasionally, he is a jury member at international film festivals.
