In a Guatemalan mountain village, a young girl Elena is sent to fetch water and keys for her mother, a local activist. On her way through the village, she notices something about today is different. She feels almost invisible while her mother doesn't have time to care about Elena’s feelings.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - Dalia Huerta Cano
Elisa Fernanda Pirir is a film producer from Guatemala, based in Norway. She graduated from The National Film School in Norway with the student Oscar nominated «Generation Mars». She has been working with several acclaimed international directors such as Thomas Arslan, Ciro Guerra, Cristina Gallego, Nabil Ayouch, César Díaz, Laura Mora and some of Norway's most acclaimed directors. She owns the company STÆR together with producer KriStine Ann Skaret in the arctic city of Tromsø in Northern Norway. STÆR aim to develop, produce and co-produce independent feature films and documentaries of high artistic quality and relevance. The company was founded in February 2023 and premiered their first international co-production in the 73 Berlin International Film Festival. In 2023 she is selected to represent Norway in Cannes at their producers on the move.
